Sasang constitution in Oriental medicine is considered to be different for each constitution in the function of internal organs. Sasang constitution is largely divided into four types: Sun, Taeeum, Soyang, and Soeum. Excessive organ function should be suppressed and under-organized function should be encouraged to achieve equilibrium.

For example, yang people should lower their qi and harmonize with yin food. For yin-in (陰人), it is good for health to balance it with positive food as a way to increase qi. Below,  let's take a look at the beneficial and unhealthy foods by Sasang constitution.

Taeeumin
