However, the Enforcement Decree of the Military Service Act does not stipulate pop culture as a specialty in the field of arts and sports, so it is impossible for celebrities in the field of popular culture such as BTS to be admitted to the arts and sports personnel. The amendment to be discussed in the National Assembly's National Defense Committee Bill Subcommittee on the 25th includes a plan to allow artists from popular culture to serve as art and sports personnel in addition to arts and sports who have a high contribution to the national interest.
